During my time at the Evelina London I became very interested in working with children with food allergies. It was clear to me how integral psychological services were to children’s allergy. Six years ago I set up the children’s allergy psychology service where I have been working as the lead clinical psychologist. I work with children and their families to help cope with the overwhelming impact living with allergies can have on their lives. Including anxiety about having a reaction, fears about using epipens, social anxiety around living with difference, as well as parental stress and coping with a child with allergies.
I also specialise in feeding difficulties and run a feeding difficulties clinic supporting children and their parents with feeding problems (anything from fussy eaters to avoidant restrictive food intake disorder).
